VSMC Begins Construction of 300mm Wafer Fab in Singapore

1 April 2025 — VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd (VSMC), a joint venture between Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation and NXP Semiconductors has commenced construction of a new 300mm wafer fabrication facility in Singapore.

The facility will integrate advanced automation technologies, including an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), AI‑enabled quality management, and energy‑efficient manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reliability.

In alignment with Singapore’s Green Mark standards, the fab will incorporate sustainable features such as high‑efficiency cooling, water recycling systems, and eco‑conscious building designs that promote a safe and healthy workplace.

This milestone reinforces VSMC’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strengthening Singapore’s position in the global semiconductor ecosystem.
