VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd (VSMC), a joint venture between Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) and NXP Semiconductors (NXP) has started construction on a 300mm wafer manufacturing facility in Singapore, targets automotive, industrial, consumer, and mobile end markets.
It aims to create significant value for shareholders, enhance supply chain resilience, and contribute to both Singapore’s and the global semiconductor ecosystem. The facility will feature cutting-edge automation, including an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), Artificial Intelligence-driven quality management, and energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
In addition, the facility will adhere to Singapore’s Green Mark standards and LEED standards, incorporating eco-friendly technologies such as high-efficiency cooling, water recycling, and sustainable building designs that foster a healthy work environment.
